Adrian Uscov is Founding Partner of USCOV | Attorneys at Law and specializes in business crime and white collar defence, particularly in cases instrumented by specialised criminal investigation units such as National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) and the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT). Throughout his career he consolidated his knowledge and practice in both business and criminal law in what would gradually become the pillars of his expertise in business crime.
He began his career in 1998 through a long term employment with the Romanian subsidiary of an Austrian bank, before joining Altheimer & Gray in 2002. It was here where his practice expanded through commercial law projects such as: multinational companies mergers and takeovers, organic and operational restructuring.
In 2003, SALANS – Moore & Associates took over Altheimer & Gray and he became an associate. After SALANS, Adrian successively joined one major Romanian law firms, part of the top five law companies. He was part of the team auditing and negotiating on behalf of a global telecom provider when they took over the leading Romanian telecom company. He represented a major investment fund taking over a retail chain and the leading European stationery distributor taking over a local distributor. As a litigator attorney he defended clients from the financial and banking sector.
Adrian Uscov has an LLM in Business Law and is a graduate of Law School, Nicolae Titulescu University. He is a member of Bucharest Bar Association since 2003. He is fluent in English. His articles were published in Law Digest – Martindale Hubbell as well as many Romanian revues and he was on the panel of various Law conferences.
